About The Sports Page Weekly
Since 2002, The Sports Page Weekly has been providing the kind of sports coverage you won’t find anywhere else in Dallas-Fort Worth. Opinionated, brash, and sometimes over-the-top, we’ve always been an intelligent alternative to the major daily newspapers in the area.
Nobody gives you the balance of thorough information and informed, intelligent opinion that The Sports Page Weekly provides. We’ll put our college and professional football previews, our fantasy football outlooks, and our NCAA Tournament and college football bowl previews up against anyone’s. Sure, we may make some out-there predictions at times, but we’re not afraid to push the envelope – anytime.
We’ve featured interviews with some of the biggest and most legendary names in sports. Roger Staubach, Gale Sayers, Dominique Wilkins, Tim Tebow, Lee Trevino and broadcasting legends Dick Enberg, Brent Musberger and Jim Nantz are but a few of the luminaries we’ve had the good fortune to have in our paper.
Our strong relationship with sports radio powerhouse The Ticket has helped us bring you the fine written work of Bob Sturm and Gordon Keith, and Ticket stalwart Skin – the finest NBA analyst in the Metroplex or just about anywhere else – is a regular contributor.
In addition to coverage of the major college and professional sports we all love, The Sports Page Weekly goes deeper to uncover compelling stories of sports that often fly under the radar. Rodeo, polo, rugby, ultra-marathon and even extreme downhill skiing are among the unique forms of competition we’ve featured extensively in the paper.
But we’re not just a bunch of sports junkies with blinders to the outside world. We regularly showcase the best in entertainment both locally and across the country, and who can ever forget our weekly staple, The Sports Page Weekly Girl of the Week?
And now our Web site brings you even more of our unique look at the world of sports – and everything else we think you’d like to read about – without having to wait until the end of the week.
Thanks for taking the time to check out The Sports Page Weekly.
